What do I need to measure? -

• 1. Measure the width of your pole or track:

  If measuring for a pole, measure the length of the pole between the finals (the decorative ends of the pole).

  

  For tracks, measure the full length (including any returns).

  
• 2. Drop:
  Valances are available in two styles, straight or shaped.
  
  Straight valances are 38cm (14") deep.
  
  Shaped valances are 46cm (18") deep at the outer edge rising to 30cm (12") in the centre.
  

Quick Measuring Tips!

Measure to the nearest whole cm

Measure in several places to allow for any irregularities and use the smallest of those measurements

Always use a metal or wooden tape for better accuracy

Always measure the pole or track, not the window

Fabric gather (fullness) is already included in our curtain calculations, so it is the width of your pole/track that you should enter above

Get someone else to help by holding one end of the tape

Always use something safe to stand on rather than stretch
